Phoenix offers a stand-alone high power surface mount contact system, which can be used to connect up to 40 amps of power to a printed circuit board.

This high power, wire to board contact system consists of a vertical 4 pad receptacle contact and an 8 AWG solder cup right angle plug with slide-on mating. Special designs can be scaled up or down in size for greater or lesser current carrying capability. These contacts can be coupled with high flex 8 AWG cable and assembled to your exact requirements. Suitable for use in cellular power amplifiers, power supplies and medical instrument applications.

The microminiature high power contact is approximately 55% smaller in size than standard size 8 contacts. It features slide-on mating and can be used as a stand-alone unit for ground based equipment.

Initially designed for use with 16 AWG wire and up to 10 amps of power, they can be scaled in size for greater or lesser current carrying capability, Available in either solder cup or crimp style termination styles, the microminiature power contact offers greater design advantages due to it's low profile and overall smaller size.
